Um, I beleive the video is a spoof. But you probably knew that!

Read this from a recent article on the video.

"Alanis Morissette's parody of a Black Eyed Peas video is turning into her biggest hit in years, thanks to the Internet.

The Ottawa-born singer-songwriter reworked the Peas' song, My Humps, into a piano ballad and quietly added a spoof video to her website early this week. There was no fanfare and no official release, just a link that said, "click this?"

After the video was uploaded to YouTube.com on Monday, most likely by a fan, it unleashed a frenzy of activity. By yesterday afternoon, the video had been viewed more than 1.8 million times.

Everyone from celebrity gossip bloggers to motorcycle enthusiasts has weighed in with an opinion on her version of the Grammy-winning pop song that is a signature tune for Fergie, the Peas' sexpot singer. The song has even made it to a few radio stations."

I've heard this version was a parody but there's a ton of not funny going on in the video that if you're not told that it's a parody, it could be considered her commentary on the song or you just don't know what to make of the video. Also, if you just listen to the song without the video, it sounds immensely depressing.

Umm a spoof, that is what I thought but then something happened yesterday evening on my ride home. I was listening to Sirius channel 1. Not the comedy channels, but Hits 1 and this song came on. No commentary about it being a spoof, just played in the normal order like it was a new release!
